The ground rules

By using split.tools ("the site"), you agree to these terms. They're short because the product is simple: free tools that run in your browser.

1. The service

The site provides browser-based utilities for splitting images, PDFs, audio, and video. Processing happens locally on your device; we do not receive, store, or transmit your files. The service is provided free of charge and may change, gain, or lose features at any time.

2. Your files, your responsibility

You keep all rights to the files you process — we never touch them, so no license to us is needed or granted. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use and modify the files you work with, and for complying with the laws that apply to you. Don't use the tools to infringe copyright or process content you're not permitted to handle.

3. No warranty

The site is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the tools will be uninterrupted or error-free. Verify your output before relying on it, and keep your originals: splitting never modifies your source file, but downloads can fail like any download.

4. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, split.tools and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from use of the site, including data loss. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid to use the service — which is zero.

5. Acceptable use

Don't attempt to disrupt the site, scrape it abusively, or misrepresent it as your own service. That's it — since your files never reach us, there is no content policy for us to enforce on them.

6. Changes

We may update these terms; the current version always lives at this URL with its date above. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
